Has anyone had recent success using skype for calls and chat? I recall reading Skype calls used to work on GP 3a, but not any more.

@esoteric I will look at them again and see if I can mimic your process with red pocket...the difficulty I find is whether to use RP or AT&T (base carrier) settings.

@amuva A few weeks ago I began rushing to port my number back to my old sprint iphone (undesirable) because of the 3G shutdown when I too noticed just last night that I could still make and receive calls on 3G on my 3a with Red Pocket GSMA (thanks to the posters above). DOES ANYONE know what is going on--are they phasing out the service, or shutting it down altogether as I was informed? Or, are they leaving some service up because of the backlash/backlog? In my case, the porting process was supposed to take 40 minutes to go from Red Pocket to Sprint. The 40 minute process has turned into 2 WEEKS because no one can get through to Red Pocket!

I am somewhat heartened to know that I am not the only one, as so many are figuratively scratching their heads about the status of 3G--what a clusterf**k of a 'transition'--although it would be a lot more heartening to see the need for such a transition and the process for individuals to accomplish it laid out in a coherent, simple and convincing manner.

By the way, I get and send SMS but still no MMS regardless of the network woes. Does anyone know how I could get and send MMS on the 3a?

@melu9wuv I thought it was my case, also. Any news on other fixes (I read the problem thread) for this?

@rdl85 I have the same problem on my pixel 3a. At first, I thought it was the case surrounding the phone interfering with the mic. But, as you noted, audibility of my voice is fine when off the speakerphone. Any bug fixes set for this?

Wish I could get MMS to work, but only MMS does atm. Red Pocket GSMA service on GP3a.

@keneda I see better now. It is on stable. Should I try Development or RC instead?
