    • RE: Aethercast

Ok so I have some feedback that is about a week out of date now, but may be of use.

I had it connected to a monitor, and there was no blinking on the display. There is some latency, but it was not unusable. Not gaming ready, but I could easily work on tickets or communicate with text based messaging easily enough. I used a USB-C dock with it and had no discernible battery drain, and I think it was able to charge even. Using a Microsoft Display Adapter, the previous version to the existing one, with not fully updated firmware.

@applee Ah! Yes that is likely the issue. I didnt even think of that. Ill look at that thread anf see if i can do something in the meantime as a workaround. I do intend to have a different number for testing this, and i remember reading somewhere someone suggested using a SIP service.

@rocket2nfinity I looked for the Linphone app in the App store and was not able to see it in the search results. I was able to search for it on a laptop and find it via the browser, but when I tried to access it on the phone, no dice. Has anyone else been able to confirm that the Linphone app is ported to the Pixel 2XL (taimen) ARM variant?

    • Unable to place a phone call

I just recently dusted off my Pixel 2XL and was able to get it installed using the Dev and RC builds. In both instances I was unable to make any phone calls. I’m going to try loading the stable build and see if that improves the situation.

I’d hate for this to be a carrier issue but I am using AT&T and I’ve noticed I can’t just move my sim around anymore so it could be that.

Wanted to make sure I didn’t miss a post or something about the issue, and to also document what the solution ends up being.
