i have a nex 4 on 16 dev. the nex5 is already on rc, along with my opo which is my daily driver. the nex 4 and 5 are not mobil conected at this time.

the wife is running an old samsung preandroid touch phone, the battery life is ending. we are located in the usa and she only uses the phone with a philippine sim card to text family and friends in the philippines, no other functions. i would like to set her up with my nex 5 that i just updated the battery on. i am thinking of loading 15 stable on the phone it has 16 rc right now. is 15 stable still getting updates or should i stick wiith 16 rc? thanks

the oem battery was giving out, so i searched for a new battery. the SIYAA BLP571 battery had some decent reviews, so i got one and installed it. the SIYAA is 3000 not 3100mAh, a little shorter than the oem but gets me through a day no problem. the one i got had a 04/17 mfg date.

now that 16.04 is out will there be a fix for the oneplus one camera zoom and other camera issues, planned in the future?

i just installed a "smart pinoy roaming sim card". the device shows the card but don't find the phone # in settings? also just to the right of the phone signal triangle there is a small yellow triangle with an R in it. i guess it means roaming? thanks

i have not used the phone # on telegram nor have i entered a 1 before the #. i can pull the sim card and use it on an android phone to install telegram if adding the 1 does not work.

the app store is where i installed it from. i downloaded the link from your reply on my pc, dragged and dropped it to the phone download file. from there i installed it with the same result. sorry to be dense but where is that cache file located?

i have 16.04 dev installed on my nex5. i tried to install telegram for ubuntu but it times out after entering the code? several efforts with no joy. ideas?

this is info only. i ran 16.04rc via the installer on my nexus 5. all seemed well but then the icon for wifi went to a white rectangular block with an h in it. no more connection! i did a couple reboots to no avail, so i went back to 15.

yes i finally did find the imei in "about". i just used the ut installer and it seems to be ver 15.04 [r3]. can i use terminal to update to 16.04 or do i just change from stable in settings>update>channels to "release candidate"? thanks

i started with my nex 4 which i purchased to chase ut a few years ago. i lost track of ut for some but stumbled onto ubports. i am but a user but, wow, i like what i see. speaking of seeing my 73 yr old eyes had trouble seeing the cards on the solitaire game, so i got a nex 5. i had some difficulty getting ut installed on the 5x but eventually won out, and all is good. one of the nex 6 would be great if it ever gets ported. Question, is there a place where the imei is stored in settings? if there is i must have overlooked it. many thanks.
