Has anyone got the outgoing SMTP to work with Apple email with Dekko2?
I can get incoming email fine but cannot get outgoing to work and have tried loads of different settings. Been on the apple website to check the settings. Same settings work fine using waydroid and android.
If you did get it working can you please share the working settings?
Thanks.

RE: Best Meshtastic App
@Moem by putting Meshtastic in the title I thought it would only get clicked on by people who know what meshtastic is.
Meshtastic, which is opensource, allows encrypted long distance text communication without using the text message interface built in to Android or Apple iOS because the messages travel over LoRa (long range) radio connections with the main weakness that apple and google operating software can see the messages in the apps.
Looking on the docker hub there are loads of docker images. Aswell as iOS and android apps any Chromium based browser can access the devices and I expect that is how they access the devices. I could not find any Snaps but there is an APK. So the question is does anyone know which docker image (if any) to use. I was hoping someone could save me from loading each docker in turn and seeing if it works.

Best Meshtastic App
given the security of both systems I guessed there would be a big overlap but searching the forum didn't work.
Loads of dockers (guessing docker is way to go rather than snap or Waydroid).think pixel 3a XL has 64bit ARM so need to exclude all X86 and 32bit only images. Then I thought; 'why not ask which is good?'

RE: Tailscale decentralised VPN
@E2024 Process ID = PID
too late now, but how do I see what the process is up to for next time?or just list current processes so I can see if Daemon listed?

RE: Tailscale decentralised VPN
it was working fine, after adding --edge to your command, till I asked about exit nodes
"phablet@ubuntu-phablet:~$ sudo tailscale-snap2 up
failed to connect to local tailscaled (which appears to be running as tailscaled, pid 2362). Got error: Failed to connect to local Tailscale daemon for /localapi/v0/status; not running? Error: dial unix /var/run/tailscale/tailscaled.sock: connect: no such file or directory
phablet@ubuntu-phablet:~$ tailscale-snap2 status
ERROR: ld.so: object 'libtls-padding.so' from LD_PRELOAD cannot be preloaded (failed to map segment from shared object): ignored.

RE: Tailscale decentralised VPN
@thedeafenguy where is that snap? I’m having difficulty finding it. Thanks, eerke

RE: Tailscale decentralised VPN
@arubislander thanks. Wondered just now about Snaps and installed the snap option already. Next I just need to install the Snap

RE: Tailscale decentralised VPN
@thedeafenguy thanks. I accidentally had the idea of installing it as a Snap whilst I was gone and have installed Snap already.

RE: Tailscale decentralised VPN
Incidentally I installed the Developer Version of Ubunto Touch. Maybe I should try just a docker image? Or obtain the Android APK and install it using Waydroid?

Tailscale decentralised VPN
Hi,
I have a “Tailnet” onto which several devices connect. Tailscale is basically a self hosted VPN (“Tailnet”) but with re-built apps, including docker images, which is why I have it. Was going to connect my “new” Ubunto Touch Pixel 3a to my existing network. There isn’t an official app but it works on Linux.
Am thinking a Libertine container running the Linux Tailscale application and a browser in the same container was the way to go but does anyone have a better idea? Ideally I’d like to be able to connect the entire phone but can’t see a way: maybe route all phone traffic via a proxy in the container?
