Possible to set time format for messages and other date stamps?
Hello there.
I'm here to ask a question or few of behalf of a friend. My friend is a fan of Ubuntu which he uses on his desktop PC for a number of years now. And just recently bought a Nexus 5 with the purpose of running Ubuntu Touch.
Because he considers me the technical guy he asked me to install Touch on his phone which I did. It installed fine after an initial hiccup. And here we are.
The question is if the date format for messages and other time stamps displayed on screen can be changed? In particular what I'd like to know is if the time format can be changed so that seconds are also displayed. Such as in a format of:
HH:MM:SSI could see no such setting in the preferences nor anything in the documentation I have read. Is there an advanced setting app that set the format?
Can a text file be edited on the filesystem that contains this date format? If the only way currently was to get down and dirty.
I was reading up on convergence being one of the main goals for Touch. To have a consistency across platforms. Well with that in mind my friend would like his phone to reflect what he sees on his desktop. Since both are forms of Ubuntu. Fair enough.
Can this be done?
