The Pixel 3a is very well supported, with improvements coming in steadily. So there's that.

Is there a significant difference between Pixel 3a and 3a XL when it comes to UT?

As for the mouse, it should work. I doubt that device doesn't support it. Have you tried different mouse or even other peripherals like a keyboard?

Yeah, nothing works. Same input devices were functional on my Android phone and a Lenovo chromebook. But now I am not so sure that the micro-USB adapter I am using is functional. I'll look for another adapter. Bluetooth dongle-less keyboard works of course.

Pixel 3a is the most popular one due to great UT support, availability, price and performance. I heard good things about OP5/6 but maybe they're more expensive. On the more expensive side, you have the Fairphonr 4.

I am leaning towards the Pixel. Fairphone 4 is definitely super cool with its support for an external monitor

Hi there! First time poster committed reader here.

I was wondering if anyone could share their experience with UT on different devices in terms of performance and bugginess? My only experience so far is UT on Samsung S7 that I've installed roughly a month ago. And I was pleasantly surprised: this old phone with a rather small but high quality high resolution screen became alive again. I've installed a few applications I normally use on my Linux machines and they seem to work, just need some time getting used to. Some weirdness:

1. Firefox had initially tiny menu fonts, but that could be fixed with Libertine Tweaks. Scrolling doesn't work and my attempts to fix that were unsuccessful.

2. OpenSCAD and other Qt based applications have tiny fonts and I did not find a workaround yet for UT 20.04. Is this also a problem on devices with larger screens and lower resolution?

3. A mouse connected through USB does not work (I think it worked on Android, but I am not sure anymore). Does this functionality exist on any UT devices?

I also got Waydroid working, but it seems to be buggy: WhatsApp seems to be fully functional as long as I do not close the window. Once it's closed, it seems to be running in the background, but there is no way to access it. At least none that I know of. Samsung S7 is not on the supported device list for Waydroid, how is this behavior on the supported devices?

Besides this, I absolutely love UT on Samsung S7. The device is have is in a poor shape though and I am considering getting another phone for UT.

What is your experience? Compared to Samsung S7, what device would be a downgrade and what would be a significant upgrade? For example, I see Sony Xperia X for an attractive price on ebay -- does that make any sense or will I be disappointed after experiencing UT on S7? The other two devices I am curious about are Google Pixel 3a / 3a XL and Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro.
