Tried several .apk files but non of them worked as expected. Seems that anbox doesn't interact really with UT resources like Bluetooth (Garmin Drive), SD card storage (Keepass app), Web access (Firefox or GMaps) and others. So anbox-tool is currently not usable on Dora device.

After installing OTA-17 i could install Anbox-tools as described before and also an .apk file. More or less it works but seems that improvements are required for more maturity and stability.

After installing OTA-17 camera seems to work including zoom and flash. Well done, thank you.

Still no ring tone/sound with incomming calls on Doro device (Xperia X Performance) after installing OTA-17 (at 14.05.2021).
Also missing fingerprint sensor functionality, NFC, etc. Also it is annoying to enter wifi password after every re-boot of the device.
Would be good to know if or when s.th. is planned to be implemented or improved...

I will try the advice from @dobey when next Hybris/stable release is available. (I don't use devel channel anymore because it is not stable enough for daily use of the phone...)

I could confirm this problem happens on my Xperia X Performance:
No ringtone when receiving a call.
This problem happens on stable chanel as well on devel for Dora-device. (Both with current releases available at 23 March 2021.)

Yes, your right. Our devices behaviour is very different. But you said that you hav a dual-SIM device (F8132). My device is a single-SIM device (F8131). I would think installation procedure is the same on both devices...
With the UT installation on my device it was important to do following both things before starting the UT-installer:

• In case of flashing issues please wipe system, data & cache partitions using TWRP.
• Flash the OEM binaries from: https://developer.sony.com/file/download/software-binaries-for-aosp-nougat-android-7-1-kernel-4-4-tone/ using fastboot flash oem SW_binaries_for_Xperia_AOSP_N_MR1_5.7_r1_v08_tone.img

I have no idea how to solve the issues as I'm not a developer. And I hope some Dora-UT-developer reads our posts and could help to get the phones working and solve these important issues.

Could someone post a step-by-step procedure for enabling/install Anbox on Dora device (F8131) and how to install android-Apps (or .apk files)?

Regardíng UT installation:
I updated my Dora device to the most new available software version (Android 8, deployed by Sony) before I rooted my phone. After that I followed the installation procedure and succeded with getting UT on my phone via Installer.

I updated my device with today's release (08-Jan-2021) from hybris/devel channel. This are my findings:

• USB-MTP: From Windows10 device is recognized with internal storage and SD card. But couldn't copy files bigger than 16kB to phone's internal storage or SD card. (Small files up to 16kB are possible.)

• Position/GPS: I still could confirm that GPS is working on my device. BUT it needs time (sometimes up to 2 min). Means, any application using Position will need some time before getting a signal/position.

• Camera:
  Simple photo works and can be stored on SD card (as set in camera app settings). But zoom, photo-flash and film still not work.

• Ringtone for incomming calls is still not working. Only vibration works.

• Bluetooth connection to car communication system basicly works with receiving calls and manually dialing for calls but Contacts/Address Book of the phone is not downloaded to the car system.

• Missing features:
  No fingerprint sensor functionality. No file transfer with Bluetooth (seems that related app is not developed for arm64). No NFC functionality.

2nd Update:
Now (with last update build 115) GPS/Position seems to work, that's great. But satelite recognition needs some time (ca. 20 sec - 2 min).

Update:
Now, with the new update (build 112) Bluetooth connection works with communication systems and calls are working in general.
But on car communication system contacts/telephone book is not downloaded and is not possible to use. Also forcing downloads of contacts doesn't work (car communicaton system shows that no contacts are found).

P.S.: Also NFC is not working.

Installed successfully UT on my F8131 device following above instructions (--> thanks for enabling UT on Sony Xperia X Performance).

However, some functionalities or features are missing which would make the phone ready for daily usage.
Missing feature or no functionality:

• Missing feature of Fingerprint sensor
• GPS/Position doesn't work at all
• Camera photo flash-light not working, photo zoom not working, film recording not working (but simple photo works)
• Bluetooth doesn't connect to other devices (e.g. communication systems) and often is disconnecting after a few seconds. And sometimes it cannot be restarted until device is rebooted.
• USB-MTP doesn't allow file management from Windows/Ubuntu file management system/explorer (e.g. transfer files to phone, moving files on phone storage to another place on the phone deletes the file, etc). But file system/structure can be accessed for reading files.
• No ring-tone when receiving a call. Just vibration is working.
• Wifi password needs to be re-entered after re-boot of the phone.

Hope that issues will be solved with daily updates on devel-channel.
Or is there a tweak or trick in place to solve (some of the) issues?
