If you try to use the current version as it is, that's not called porting, that's installing. And installing a version of Ubuntu Touch on a different device (even if it's similar) will generally not work and can result in a brick.
If you adapt the version to work with your tablet, that's called porting; it's usually not very easy or quick. But it may be an option. Please start by reading the porting guide so you know what is involved.
