I have Pinephone. On that platform, the versions keep coming from the Development channel. Another one dropped today. I don't see any advantage to being on the Edge channel. Unless there is one specific thing you are looking for and you have reason to believe it is coming out on that channel. If that's not the case, it's not unlikely that several things you were satisfied with get broken even if something else gets fixed!

ssh to localhost. Because of containerization, will not work from regular shell.
If you get errors involving apt, do a "sudo mount -o rw,remount /"
from your non-ssh terminal.If you can't ssh to local host, do a purge and reinstall open-ssh from your non-ssh terminal. don't forget to start ssh service, but this should happen automatically anyway
You will be able to create a libertine container. But the applications installed probably still won't work. They don't on the pinephone.
Finally, change your update channel to dev. There are 800 later builds than on the stable channel.
