RE: Where to download Qualcomm usb drivers for Windows 10?
Success!! OK, the app image installer seems to be working.
Phew! That was a bit brutal but I'm so happy to get to try Ubuntu Touch on this phone.
Thank you very much for your patience and help!

RE: Where to download Qualcomm usb drivers for Windows 10?
@yazm895 The installer keeps telling me to unlock the bootloader although it's already unlocked. There were some errors when I installed the installer .deb version. The snap version said it was a prerelease version and that it should be updated. I think I'll try the app image version.

RE: Where to download Qualcomm usb drivers for Windows 10?
@MrT10001 It seems a bit stuck. Do I select the "start" option at the top?
-
RE: Where to download Qualcomm usb drivers for Windows 10?
@MrT10001 Okay, I'm now in the installer, it booted the phone to fastboot and says it's "waiting for device" and "asserting unlocked bootloader variable"

RE: Where to download Qualcomm usb drivers for Windows 10?
@MrT10001 Cool! Got the bootloader unlocked. The UBports installer doesn't seem to recognize the phone. Do i need to go through the set up and adjust the settings?

RE: Where to download Qualcomm usb drivers for Windows 10?
@MrT10001 Got the ROM installed. I started the UB installer but it asked if the bootloader is locked and I realized it is. So now I'm in fastboot mode through "adb reboot bootloader". The start menu says "device state locked". Is it "fastboot flashing unlock" or "fastboot oem unlock"?

RE: Where to download Qualcomm usb drivers for Windows 10?
@MrT10001 I can't boot to fastboot mode. I switched machines, I'm on my Kubuntu setup now, but I do have adb set up and I've used fastboot on other devices. But when I press power + volume up to boot the phone it just goes into normal boot. Or if I hold down volume up + power for longer it goes into a loop where the 1+ sign appears (and powered by android or something) and then it boots again.

@MrT10001 OK. Cool. Thanks again!

RE: Where to download Qualcomm usb drivers for Windows 10?
Hi
Sorry, could you hold my hand just a bit more
?
I've been going by these instructions
https://gitlab.com/ubports/porting/community-ports/android10/oneplus-nord-n10/oneplus-billie
They recommend a command-line install but the Ubuntu Touch web pages and the Ubuntu Touch device page for the OnePlus Nord N10 5G recommend the UBports installer. Which would you recommend? I've used the installer and it seemed fairly straightforward. And I don't know where I can get the boot.img, recovery.img and ubuntu.img files mentioned in the command line instructions...

RE: Where to download Qualcomm usb drivers for Windows 10?
@MrT10001 It worked! The phone booted to Android like a champ! I have to go out for a few hours but after that I'll try installing UT. Thanks!
Man it would/will be amazing to get Linux on a modern smart phone...

RE: Where to download Qualcomm usb drivers for Windows 10?
@MrT10001 All right! After installing the driver you linked to the phone shows up in Device Manager under Ports as "Qualcomm HS-USB QDLoader 9008 (COM3)" and in the MSM tool the status of connection is "connected"! Awesome! Thank you!
-
RE: Where to download Qualcomm usb drivers for Windows 10?
@MrT10001 Oh okay, it shows up in "Other devices" as QUSB_BULK_CID:041B_SN:47...
Yeah sorry, it's not the "F" disk after all...

RE: Where to download Qualcomm usb drivers for Windows 10?
Nope, doesn't boot, the phone screen is black. I kept the power button and the two volume buttons pressed down for 40 seconds.
I don't have the original USB cable for the OnePlus, I'm using a cable from the PinePhone. Otherwise I'm pretty sure I've done everything as instructed...

RE: Where to download Qualcomm usb drivers for Windows 10?
I tried updating the usb drivers with a file I got from a link on the LineageOS instructions pages for setting up adb on Windows (https://developer.android.com/studio/run/win-usb) but Windows doesn't seem to recognize it. When I go to
Device Manager > right-click on F:\ and choose "update driver" and choose "Browse my computer for drivers"
it doesn't show the file and claims that the best driver is already installed.
The Windows machine is not connected to the internet because I wouldn't want to go through the rigmarole of purchasing anti-virus software and installing it if I can avoid it. So I can't run Windows Update to get the latest drivers I suppose. Maybe that's the problem?

RE: Where to download Qualcomm usb drivers for Windows 10?
Hi
Thank you for your answer. I got adb installed on Windows and the phone was showing on "adb devices". It's showing in device management > portable devices as drive F (F:\).
It's showing in MSM but the status connection is N/A.
but it's not showing in "adb devices" anymore.
According to the instructions I should now put the phone into EDL mode, but "adb reboot edl" throws up an error: "error: no devices/emulators found". The number two method on the page you linked to (pressing the volume up button for 5 seconds) doesn't seem to work either. Also, the phone doesn't boot anymore. The phone screen is black. Help?

Where to download Qualcomm usb drivers for Windows 10?
Re: Nord N10 5 G
Hi guys!
I'm kind of a newbie trying to get through an installation of Ubuntu Touch to a OnePlus Nord N10 5 G, and it's not as straightforward as I thought. I've now installed bleedin Windows on my old desktop machine and am trying to find the Qualcomm USB drivers for it. There's a link on this page
https://community.oneplus.com/thread/1541327
but when I try to download there's an error message that Google can't scan the file for viruses which feels a bit dodgy. Also, when I click "Download anyway" there's an error and no download. If I go to Qualcomm's pages and search for "usb drivers for Windows 10" I get 5,119 results...
I'm pretty new to fiddling with phones, I've only installed Linux OSes to the PinePhone a couple of times. Can anyone point me to a safe place to download the drivers please?
