Hi Zaito, so sorry for delay, I have only just logged on in ages. I tested it on GS5 only - installed UT 24.04 because it was the only way to make phonecalls when 3g packed up. Nothing I did enabled Waydroid to persist. Meaning that if waydroid was closed for any reason, you couldn't reboot it without a completely fresh installation. This rectified in June with a new UT update. Everything works well in both UT and Waydroid with one exception; there is no clipboard on waydroid. Which means you cannot copy or paste anything in any circumstances. If I need waydroid copy facilities I have to use another phone running UT20.04. Hope all is well.

I got to the point where is asks for a password but won't accept my password. Word of caution: don't change your password from command line if you've enabled passcode - when you phone locks it only gives you a numpad to enter your password, not a keyboard.

A shame it cant be moved, i'm left handed, so hold the phone with my right hand, which makes the left side launcher uncomfortable to use, going to add it as a suggestioni think, im sure im not the only leftie using UT!

@enrolado There are no scopes any more, and that does not apply to the app drawer.

@TobsEnd I had similar issue with FP2 some time ago. Couldn't figure why, happened after update, persisted after channel change (stable, rc) and next OTA updates didn't fix the video playback. I couldn't play videos for several months. The video issues were fixed after complete UBports reinstall (with wipe) using the installer. I hope it will fix your issues too.

@pixelated For the record, the behavior you described is not a bug. When an app is uninstalled the users data and settings are not automatically removed. Just as they are not on desktop Ubuntu. These typically live in your home folder. Having your data and settings intact when reinstalling an app after having removed it is a feature.

I am willing to re-visit trying to revert it, however as with you, my time is rather limited for that.

@b3 you can file an issue as feature request here : https://github.com/ubports/ubuntu-touch/issues It can be quite a big work if we have to handle different backup format. Is there anything standard ?

@PizzaLovingNerd There is no technical reason that anbox could not work on the PinePhone, however it is still an extremely experimental feature even on the devices where it is currently available, and work has been going toward more important things for the PinePhone. Also, I think anbox on UT has no arm64 support yet. So, it would take someone contributing on making it work to get it to the point where it could be installed and run.

know what? a little birdie just reminded me of this page: http://docs.ubports.com/en/latest/porting/ubp-5.1.html it kinda says everything that needs to be said, no? had you seen this page? did you have to do something else? actually, which device are you working on? I'm thinking of moving that page from porting (where frankly I had overlooked it) to system software development section.... I agree

To use ssh login: do the public key stuff as documented here (https://docs.ubports.com/en/latest/userguide/advanceduse/ssh.html) Starting the service is different, type in a terminal: sudo service ssh start Try to connect. adb not working is documented at port thread https://forums.ubports.com/topic/3253/oneplus-3-3t Thats all I found out atm for my op3t.

Keneda & doniks, Thank you for the suggestion; I had tried that and it didn't work. But, apparently waiting did the trick. It was stuck for around 45 minutes when I left it. I left the tablet alone for several hours and when I came back, there it was at the logon screen (AMAZING!) I logged in, tried a few things, and have done several power off and restarts and seems to be working as normal now... Don't know what the issue was but at least it was "self healing." Looking forward to running this tablet ubuntu touch. Again, many thanks.
