August 15 16.04-RC updates scrapps BQ Aquarius M10
-
Dear Community,
I am using a BQ Aquarius M10 pad with 16.04 rc. The update of 15 August left my device unsusable. After the reboot it is stuck in a waiting Loop with the turning circle. Neither the Cache clean-up nor the factory reset resolved the issue. I am also not able to re-install the System by the UBPort installer since the device is not in the developer mode and the installer doesn't find it after connecting via USB.Is there any solution for this issue?
Thank you in advance.

@bq10_user https://forums.ubports.com/topic/1574/august-15-devel-channel-update-renders-your-device-unable
Please read the above thread and follow the instructions. Your device name is frieza for fhd m10 and cooler for hd version. -
Thank you for the quick response. I will try this out. I am only wondering if this will help since my device is yet using the RC channel and not the DEV channel of 16.04.

@bq10_user if you want to stay in RC, changing
devel
forrc
the rest is the same as it's explain here https://forums.ubports.com/post/11470 and you can check the list of RC versions available here http://system-image.ubports.com/ubports-touch/16.04/rc/ -
@bq10_user Yes it should still work have a good read through. Probably twice to be sure. You will just need to change device name to cooler or frieza and
--channel=ubports-touch/16.04rc --revision=version_number
The version number for you is 9 ,I think to be safe. Any problems please just pop back. -
I get the following errors:
"device not found"
with
"adb shell"and
"Target device cannot be reached over adb"
with
"sudo ubuntu-device-flash..."Please apologise my ignorance. It is the1st time that I need to update the tablet this way.

@bq10_user can you try putting your device in bootloader mode and adding
--bootstrap
parameter to the command you're already using?
