I have the very same issue with Google on my Nexus5. It does not finish the setup process but when I check my Google account on my computer I can see that the devices was access granted.

@peterm Take it your on about using dekko 2 and google. Are you using the latest version available https://gitlab.com/dekkan/dekko/tags/0.1.6-beta1 and have you followed the advice highlighted by @advocatux from Dan Chapman
If you don't use 2FA you have to explicitly allow "less secure apps" access https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/6010255?hl=en . And if you do use 2FA then an app specific password is required https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/185833?hl=en . Or if oauth is used then it should "just work" but Dekko doesn't support that yet.

Make sure you have applied this information and try again. Any further issues please pop back.

@lakotaubp yes, I'm using that latest beta of Dekko 2. No 2FA and explicitly allow "less secure apps" access. Still not working though.

@tlf Please then try the following
Remove cache, data, config and delete with UT Tweak
Then run rm -f ~/.config/upstart/dekkod* in the device terminal
Restart device. You can run the rm command again, just to be extra sure. Reinstall dekko2 beta1. You should get set up account page.

@lakotaubp Thank you. I've carried out these steps but I think we are talking about two different things. I can't add a Google Account in the system settings 'Accounts' section.

Maybe when I enable 2FA (soon) the Accounts will work for Google. The UbuntuOne account added fine.

                  Dekko 2 is okay 🙂

@tlf Sorry yes we that does sound like issues at goggles security end. Can't see why it would affect anything like that but is your Ubuntu one account setup. Just trying anything now, but it sounds like its related to Google version of insecure apps etc.

@lakotaubp If I update to 2FA (and still have the E4.5) I'll update this thread, thanks again 🙂

@tlf Same issue in my tablet BQ M10 fhd. Since OTA4, I can't connect my Google account in system settings; but Google recognizes the connection. Last step in system settings, after "allow", is an infinite loop. Horrible.

@llamasjm Have you allowed in secure apps in the Goggle security settings without that Google stops.

@lakotaubp Yes, Google allows me, and sends me an email to say my account is connected with a Linux Device. But I'm not connected, cause "System settings" remains spinning around and around and around the last step.
