Dekko 0.1.6-beta2 released
-
@matteo happens once, sometimes, all the time? reply or reply all or both? One particular email, or multiple or all? Anything in the log file?
-
@doniks How can I get the logfile when the Logviewer is crashing/showing error while trying to send it to pastebin?
UPDATE:
Ignore that message, I found the logs. Do you want even the logs from beta1 or only from beta2? -
@stefano beta2. But it doesn't hurt to attach the other one as well if you have it
-
-
Mine works perfect!
-
@mihael What emal provider do you use with Dekko?
-
@stefano I use my own mail server for three of my accounts and then I have a gmail account. All of them IMAP.
-
@mihael Nice, maybe I need to do that as well, to run my own mail server...

Hey guys,
thanks for this release. I've got an issue where I can't see my email in my inboxes
I just sent an email from both inboxes I've added to dekko and I can see those emails in the inbox on another device. On my UT there's nothing though
-
@doniks it always happens. Never got to make this work with my email provider; however, talking to other Dekko users it could be due the email provider itself that I use (outlook/hotmail), since other people don't experience the same issue with different providers...I remember the original Dekko's creator tried to help me to resolve this issue, but never accomplished since also to him seemed a weir behaviour.
EDIT: to answer your exact questions. It happens always when I try to reply to an email with both reply options; I guess it happens with all kind of emails, but I made only random attempts to see the effect and the app allways suddenly crashed. For the log, I didn't check, I will try to see later if I find something useful.
Thank you!

@matteo outlook and hotmail are both reported to work actually... How does your "Identities" (first entry in the settings) look like? Just a shot in the dark, but: does this also happen if have only one account set up?
-
@FishFingers44 Its not complete clear from your post, doeo sending mail work? How do you access your inbox? There are at least two ways to... And i guess you don't see any mail at all (not only not the new ones you've sent?). Make sure your credentials/settings for receiving mail are really really correct ;-). (Even if dekko suggested them, they may be wrong.) Especially check you username - for some mail providers it does not equal you email address. Then if it still does not work, provide the log please.

Yeah I don't see anything on the UT device.
Buyt if I create a new email and send it to myself I can then check that email account on another device and see the email.
So it's sending email however I can't see anything on the UT device.
-
@fishfingers44 As said above, try both ways to access the inbox and double check your imap(?) settings. (btw which provider?) If you're sure nothing helps and all your settings are correct file a bug at https://gitlab.com/dekkan/dekko/issues and provide your log there.

i can create a secondary account (smtp) , but i cannot change the folders ( when i enter a foldername for p.ex incoming mails, the name is not stored; the next time i look the foldernames are empty).

I have this issue with Dekko: when I receive a message, it appears twice in inbox. If I restart Deeko then I see it as it supposed to be displayed: only once. Anybody else has this issue?
-
@mihael yes. But actually with version 0.1.5 I think... Not with the current one.
-
@hummlbach I have it with the current one.
-
Yes, I have had this issue randomly but often with the previous and current versions
-
@bf It is indeed randomly...
