@vmbonn +1. I also used syncevolution to synchronise with a nextcloud server on my home network but would love to see the functionality integrated into the contacts app as it is already in the Calendar app

RE: [solved] OpenVPN VPNSecure connected but no network
Not sure if I should post this here or start a new post as this is VPN-related but maybe a different problem.
I’ve also been having difficulties getting VPN working correctly. However, the problem was different to what I’ve seen mentioned in this and other posts about VPN problems.
My VPN provider is VyprVPN.
First I tried setting things up using the standard VPN GUI, and it seemed to be working. After setting up the details in the GUI, and then flipping the switch, the switch turned green. However, opening a browser and navigating to a site that displays my IP address showed the IP address of my ISP and not my VPN proxy server, so clearly the VPN tunnel was not being used.
I installed the enhanced GUI app of Pete Woods and tried using that, but the result was the same. So I resorted to the command line. I hadn’t used openvpn before, so before trying it on the phone I tried it on my Ubuntu 16.04 computer. Using the .ovpn file downloaded from the VyprVPN website, I was able to get the VPN connection working fine with sudo openvpn Config.ovpn on the computer, so I tried the same on my phone.
Unfortunately, I got the same result as with the GUI. The connection appears to be established without any errors or warnings in the log, which finishes with ‘Initialization Sequence Completed‘, but checking my IP in a web browser gives the same result as above. Also, closing the connection in the terminal with CTRL+C reported a few errors when trying to delete routes, saying RTNETLINK answers: No such process, ERROR: Linux route delete command failed: external program exited with error status 2.
After a lot of searching, I inserted the line ‘route-delay 5’ at the end of my config.ovpn file and this solved the problem. The forum where I found the suggestion didn’t give much explanation, so I am not sure what the exact problem was or why this solves it. I’m certainly no expert in openvpn.
Sorry for the long post, but hopefully this may help anyone else having a similar problem or maybe the Ubports developers working on the VPN gui app. I can post log files if anyone wants.

RE: Info request
Concerning 2, Textsecure is not available in the Openstore but you can install it from the Ubuntu Store.
There is no development going on currently on this app. A call for a new developer has been launched on this forum but unfortunately there has not been any response yet. I would love to see its continued development so I really hope someone will take it on.
I used the version available in the Ubuntu Store on my Nexus 4. It worked fine and I could message friends who have Signal installed on Android and iphones. However, it does not want to work on my Nexus 5. If you are using a Nexus 5, it would be interesting to know if it works for you.

Browser redirect to wifi login page
Hi,
When trying to connect to guest wifi networks which have a login page, I would expect to open the browser, try to access an internet site and be automatically redirected to the login page (or even better if the browser would open automatically when I connect to the wifi network and take me to the login page). However, this seems to be hit and miss; sometimes I'm taken to the login page while other times the browser just sits there for a while trying to access the page I've selected before finally telling me I'm not connected to the internet. Nothing I can do brings me to the login page.
Does anyone have a suggestion if I'm doing something wrong?
Thanks -
RE: TextSecure on Nexus 5
@vadrian89 Not to worry. Thanks for taking the time to look and reply...and for keeping the thread alive. Maybe someone out there who knows GO will be willing to have a look. Textsecure is a great messaging app and it would be an asset to have it available and working for the Ubuntu phone.

RE: Dekko Namespace Change
@michael If you touch the Dekko2 app icon and keep your finger on it for 2 or 3 seconds it should give you the option to uninstall.

@advocatux Hi again. I'm using it in normal mode.
I also have a Nexus 4 and it gives the same problem, also after switching to dev channel.

@lakotaubp @advocatux Hi, I installed the development version and tested again with my email provider. Unfortunately, the result is the same.

RE: Can Morph browser save login credentials?
Thanks for replying.
The browser is not remembering, or offering to remember login credentials on my N5 running Xenial. I tried this morning logging in to my email service provider and that wasn't saved, and I log in every day to the gust wifi network where I work and those credentials are not saved either.
It would be convenient to not have to re-enter those each time.

Can Morph browser save login credentials?
Does anyone out there know if the Morph browser is capable of saving login credentials for websites that require login? If so, can this also be made to work with web apps?
I note, for example, that my Ubports forum app keeps me logged in, even between phone restarts, but I can not see how to replicate that behaviour in the browser or in webapps that I create with the webapp creator.
Thanks for any enlightenment on this issue that anyone can provide.
