If you go to the About section in system settings, there's a check for updates button there try that.
No, no update yet.

@talkless It's on a five day roll out and was at about 40% last night. So it will get to you shortly.

I'm still new to Touch with two phones, Nexus 4 and OPO. Is this OTA something all phones with Touch will be getting. Does it require a sim card being installed or is WiFi sufficient? Thanks to all the smart folks working to keep Touch viable !!!!
-
@mawil1013 All supported devices will get the OTA. It is being rolled out and should be done by tomorrow I believe (Weds). The OTA will be over wifi or data its up to you so no sim required. Keep checking, by using system settings either About there a check for button there or in updates.

Hi
i have a meizu pro 5 with OTA 3 (stable chanel) and still no updates for OTA 5. Is it mandatory to use wifi?
Because wifi uses 4G at my home (and quite far from antenna, but it's the best way to have internet at home ) so i would prefer use the data conection of my phone with a really better connexion when i'm not in my home. -
@aenima You can use both as long as you have allowed downloads over any connection in system settings. Also you can change to the dev update channel update your system then you should get the option to move to 16.04 from there.
OTA -5 should complete roll out today anyway. Also try check for updates in the About section if system settings. -
ok thanks, i'll see if today i can upgrade it in stable channel (i would prefer to stay in stable ).
-
@aenima you can always move back from dev to stable using the same method should have added that bit.

Have other bq e5 hd, at this time, been notified of the possibility of update OTA 3 STABLE / OTA 5 STABLE ?
Not arrived yet. Normal ? I know about the five days but..
-
Same here (E4.5 with r3), the five days are over and nothing is announced in System --> About --> Check for updates.
-
@guru Try going to the dev channel updating then see what happens if you've not done that.

This device is my daily driver for calls, tg and Internet (hotspot). I think, I should not risk this procedure.

Hi
well the OTA 5 is still not available, so i switch to dev channel, update twice to finally have the version 192. And i switch back to stable channel ... so a "new" version is avalaible ... but it's version 3 and not 5! I don't want to come back to 3. If i switch to Candidate channel, i have the version 17 proposed, but i don't know if it's the candidate for OTA 5 or OTA 4. So i finally guess that OTA 5 is still not available for me ...
Can it be device or country related? i have a pro5 and i'm in France ..

@aenima quick check if the only browser you have is Morph browser you have ota 5. Once you have OTA-5 younshould only get stable, RC and dev versions of OTA-5

that doesn't help me ... why i have a version 192 ? It's the only number i have concerning the version of ubunut touch. If i go in About section, i see that i'm on 16.04, but no other versionning ... In fact it doesn't matter for me the versionning of dev channel, i just want to come back to stable channel in OTA 5.
The only browser i have now is Morph browser, so i'm on OTA 5 with dev channel. And if i switch to stable channel, it proposes me the version 3, but it was the number i had when i was on OTA 3 (which makes sense here ...). So does it mean that in stable channel it wants me to go back to OTA3 or not?
I begin to regret to have switch to dev ...

@aenima If you swop to stable you will get 16.04 with ota-5 stable version. The number are the version numbers for that channel. Dev channel is,updated everyday so has a higher number, stable the lowest, rc in between. If you read the thread in the above links this will be explined and why itneeds clearing up.
