installed OTA-5 now I can't search for contacts
-
Hi,
I've just updated to OTA-5 and now I can't search for contacts when I open the Phone app. I enter the name, press return and nothing happens

-
@happyzenith This is known bug and is being fixed. Sorry can't find the link at present as mobile and browser to slow
-
Thanks! Just wanted to check it wasn't me not understanding something! How would I be able to search for known bugs so I can do that next time?
Thanks,
Naomi -
@happyzenith They are on github. Search for Ubports bug reports for the correct place. Still mobile or would sort out the link for you.

@happyzenith issues in general are in https://github.com/ubports/ubuntu-touch/issues
You can search for the place to report any issue about some specific app, going to https://github.com/ubports and typing in the search field the app you're looking for, and restrict the search to "In this organization". For example, if I type "calendar" it shows a link to the repository of that app (https://github.com/ubports/calendar-app). Then click on the "Issues" tab.
To report any issue about any app developed by third parties (v.g. most on the OpenStore) search for that app in https://open-store.io/ For example, https://open-store.io/app/it.mardy.yi-livestream shows that the source is in https://gitlab.com/mardy/yi-livestream and there you can file a bug report.

For me sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.

@advocatux A good full response. Thanks again

just a workaround : you could still tap the letter on the right to move quickly along your contacts.

Well, my contacts in Cyrillic, and on the right Latin (English) letters. That not helpful.

I think, that is it critical bug! In my option - smartphone is primarily a phone, and then everything else!
