click on your profile - top right.
click on the 3 dots icon (right)
        click on edit
on the left hand side there's the option to Change Username.

@marek_python There is an edit profile setting in the forum menu you can use that. If you are using a pc/laptop web browser click on your profile icon. If your using a web app oughts the 3 horizontal lines.

@dobey You're right. I meant the username on the UT phone. LOL ! You know when you enter a passcode on the lockscreen you can see your username. I'd like to change that. Is there a way without wiping out the phone and reinstalling UT ?

I think there is no supported way to change the username, and changing it may break everything. I know people have tried changing the host name before, only to have lots of things break, because there are some pieces which depend on the host name not being changed. I think the same may be true for user name.

You could of course try to change it using the standard CLI tools to do so on Linux though. But beware everything might break and you might have to flash again to fix it. Also, as this configuration is part of the read-only root file system, any change in the username may be replaced with the original setting upon a system update.

@dobey Thanks for your answer, mate. I'll wipe it and reinstall then. It's no brainer to me. Cheers !

@marek_python I don't understand what you mean to do by wipe and re-install there. You can't select a user name during install either. The phone images only currently support a single user system, and that user is already created and in the rootfs.
