Stuck on development release 930
-
@Lakotaubp & @Flohack : I was able to update to 937 with the installer. Thank you for your assistance. I will give it another try with onboard update as soon as a new version is available to let you know if on device update is working again.
-
@agrucza Great thanks for the help.
-
installer needed for Dev update 938
-
This update from @Flohack today
@OPO users, sory but the upgrader is still broken for devel channel, I am trying to fix this. Turns out that the partition table entry does not seem to be the problem. Also strange that it wont create any usable logs anymore...
So for now you will need to use the installer. We will keep you informed. Thanks for your patience.

I'm on 1+1 and got stuck at Recovery as above. I selected on a whim Android actions->Apply update and it installed fine.
-
@drennanelawar That might be useful and it was on Dev update channel ( I just want to double check). Will try it tomorrow with next update.
-
That was useful just tried it and yes it works. Thanks for the hint just installed update 939 that way. Will pass it on now.
-
@drennanelawar Thank you so much, this works like a charm.
-
This issue may also be affecting the RC channel for OPO as well. If it is the fix fix using Android actions, Apply Update should work for you too.
A solution is still being worked on, and we will let you know as soon as it is available. Thank you once again for your patience. -
To keep you all upto date a fix should be pushed later today/tomorrow. If I have my update numbers are correct that should be 943.
After that everything should work as expected. Please let us know and if you have a new bootsplash screen. -
@Lakotaubp the latest is 944 (http://system-image.ubports.com/ubports-touch/16.04/devel/bacon/)
-
@advocatux Mine is currently on 942 and showing no more available. Might give the installer a spin. Florian said it was 944 also.
-
No installer gets me to 942 still.
-
Dear all,
the committed fix seems to have worked, but note that in order to get the working recovery again, you need to either use the installer one time, or go to Android actions / Apply update in the hanging recovery screen. Only after that manual update you will have a good recovery flashed again which will start the updater automatically if needed.
-
@Flohack Next update did install as it should. No installer, no android actions needed.
For others info my OPO updated from 942 to 945 as normal (there was a sectiion of about 5 secs in the middle where the screen went black though ) didn't notice any new splashscreen.Edit: 946 also installed correctly. Thanks for the work solving this.
-
Good to hear, now we need to push this to RC also. This will happen depending on what we think but latest on Wed night to Thu.
BR Florian

The push to RC is happening now, so all users stuck on an RC version can update, too. It will require to use the installer once, as described before.
-
Quite like the new blue install update button by the way
-
@Lakotaubp Erm what? ^^
-
@Flohack Yep the button used to be an orange colour now its a light blue. Similar to the forum submit button blue. Been like that for updates 946,47 and 48 all other buttons appear the same. Seems like you were not expecting that.
