      Is there any survey tool to submit the device brand, model and hardware information as a sign of showing interest to use this os.

      There are lot of device models used around the world. If there is a survey tool to collect device models from users willing to use this operating system, it would be helpful to generate statistics based on which the community could provide support. Else how would any developer decide which device to contribute support.

      Example ubports could provide a simple native android app which would do the survey. Then survey statistics could be displayed on ubports website as well as on dashboard of native app as well.

        @yuvarajvel hi, I understand your point of view and what you have in mind but to give some perspective to your proposal you should know about the current porting limitations, being the main points:

        • Not all kind of models can be ported. For detailed info please see http://docs.halium.org/en/latest/porting/first-steps.html#pick-an-android-target-device
        • It doesn't matter how many people would like device X running UT if the people with the technical skills to make it possible can't get their hands on that X model.

        Finally, and this is just my opinion, developing a database and a native app with this goal in mind, it sounds to me like a lot of work for a little result.

          @advocatux Thanks for the information.
          I was already working on database and android coding part. Anyhow as you said seems there are few limitations with devices.

          As per halium projects prerequisite for porting, where could we find those information.
