It seems from another thread that a messaging app available on the open store actually does nothing, fully broken. I had the same experience recently with Htop clickable - 0 ko app, yet installs, yet does nothing. Maybe here we could start listing these ?

@Emphrath General will be a better place for this. I think most of the time it is down to whoever created the app no longer maintaining it. You can always try getting in touch and finding out.

Don't worry, they are not broken just not showing the size. That's due to the recent changes to accept other architecture clicks.

            Brian is working on it

@CiberSheep, are you referring to "scopes" apps? Because something I noticed in another thread, that I think @Emphrath was referring to, was that the Message History app did not work. Nothing was installed. I checked the source of it, which said, "Please note that scopes will be fading from ubuntu touch, till OTA-8 Or OTA-9 API will be removed." Ubuntu Touch is now on OTA-11.

A lot of the listed "scopes" apps that appear online don't appear via the OpenStore app when using my phone. But a few do, such as the aforementioned Message History app, and also rssreaderscope, which also didn't work when I tried installing it.

@MarkG_108 If you're on devel channel, then the scopes "apps" will not work indeed, as scopes support is removed from there. It still exists on stable for now, and will go away on rc when the remaining critical bugs are fixed in devel and rc builds are enabled again.

@MarkG_108 Apps showing in the website and not in the phone: The phone will show you apps only for your architecture and framework

                    0k apps: that's just cosmetic

Scopes: they go for good on the next OTA but lot of them are broken now

shame really.not wanting to start an issue but these I always found useful especially when @rubencarneiro sorted them out again

I got my Nexus 4 then 5 then FP2 then one plus cooking on #UBUNTU via @ubports and have run it on Op3T Op6t OP5T Pinephone/Pro Pine Tab and Pinebook Pro and my favourite OnePlus One.
