Bluetooth pairing with car audio system
-
@Elpibe I have the exact same problem with my 2015 Subaru audio system and posted it under a different thread some time ago. This pairing problem seems - at least in part - also be caused by the Subaru audio system and not only by UBtouch. I had no problems pairing my FP2 or N5 with audio systems in several rental cars from different companies (Nissan Micra, Hyundai Accent and Ford Mustang) with music player, contacts and phone calls mostly working (some funny behavior on the Nissan when accepting incoming calls). I will try htc_tatoo's command line solution.

I have a Nexus 5, I can pair bluetooth with my car in the original radio , does not work with calls, you get the ringtone but when you pick up does not work, only works in music app and cloud music app, if I use some music webapp does not work either but it works webapp in a non-original radio that I have in another car (Pionner).
I think that the original radios of new vehicles have something that does not work well, my daughter with an android is unpaired at the time of connecting, sometimes it works and other times not.greetings...

@Josele13 Confirming the bluetooth telephony problem with a Nexus 5.
I tested Bluetooth yesterday and a Nexus 5 has no functional Bluetooth for telephony. This is a serious issue since the primary use of any phone is to make calls. It connects fine. But when making a call, there is no Mic signal sent over bluetooth (i,e. other party cannot hear the Nexus 5), and the sound comes out overdriven and distorted from the other party.
This was tested on an outgoing call. I did not test an incoming call.

@rob , Yes, I tested the Nexus 5 again with my other car, which has a Pionner, I paired the phone and mobile by bluetooth, does not work incoming calls and outgoing calls, I hear the ringtone on the radio but when I pick up the phone , sounds nothing.
Greetings. -
Bluetooth issues for calls is a know issue for some time if I remember correctly.
But I don't remember if it's a Nexus5 issue or a general bug. -
@AppLee It is more general

@Josele13 I have the exact same problem.
BQ E4.5, I can connect it to my Audi.
When I play music on the smartphone I can hear it in from the car's speakers.
I can even see my list of contacts in the phone form the car dashboard.
I can start a call and I can receive a call but, there is no sound. I cannot hear the other person and they cannot hear me and it's the same in both directions when I call someone or when someone calls me. -
I've seen a similar thread with my issue but since it's now closed, I would like to post similar BT issue of mine to this thread.
I am using my Ubuntu Touch on Nexus 5 and connected to my 2016 Subaru and here are my issues
- Turn on BT radio on my Nexus 5
- Ignition. Nexus 5 reboots immediately after being recognized by Subaru.
- Podcast streams no problem via Car stereo once rebooted.
- After returning to my car, both N5 and Subaru recognizes and confirms re-connection via respectful menus
- Once Podcast resumed, audio is coming out of N5 only. Car stereos r dead silent.
- reset BT radio on N5 and loops back to 1)
Sidenote:
mobile battery indicator on my Subaru shows 0%; even for a fully charged N5 running Ubuntu Touch. Indicator performs correctly when iPhone or other Android phones r connected to vehicle.I don't take calls while I drive so I haven't been able to test any telephone related with BT. Sorry about that but I hope my input could provide some help solving BT problem in general.

Same here.
Nexus 5 pairing Opel car.- Bluetooth connecting and listening to Music works.
- Car system tells me battery is 0%
- Calls do come over handsfree system, even display the callers number, but when taking a call or making a call, speaker and mic do not work.

Same here with E4.5 paired with infotainment of Seat Leon 2019.
