Video playback

I can make video using Camera app but cannot watch it?
'Video format is not supported' -
@dreamwebspace
You probably have a Nexus 5.
That is a known limitation, you can UTmedia to play those videos but it uses the CPU to decode the videos, so it may not be ideal. -
UTMedia doesn't open video files.

@dreamwebspace
What happens ? The apps crashes after selecting the video ?
Sometimes I have to try several times until I'm able to play a video.Most of the time I just wait until I'm back home : nothing vital in viewing a video clip
-
After selecting file (via File Manager) it bounces back to 'Select File'
-
@dreamwebspace Yes sometimes I have the same behavior.
Try with another file or try with the file manager it seems better then with the gallery -
I have a Nexus 5. The method that works for me is :-
-
Start UTmedia
-
Press and hold the "Select file" button until the popup "Select All" dialog appears.
-
Click "Close" to close the popup.
-
Then tap "Select file" button and chose from "file manager" and navigate to your video file.
-
Finally select your file and tap the tick at the top of file manager and you should return to UTmedia with the file loaded ready to play.
Video files seem to play without fail and my Nexus 5 when I follow the above route, the crucial step seems to be pressing and holding on a UI element until a popup appears, hope this helps

@cela
I works indeed.
But how did you figure it out?! -
@dreamwebspace I was building my own html video player for the Nexus 5 with clickable, and I noticed that it behaved the same way, i.e you had press and hold on a UI element before you could play a video, I did work ok, however, when run on the desktop, so it must be a morph browser or UT thing.

I used celas's method above to play back video and it worked on my Nexus 5. Thanks.
