      Hello.
I tried to flash one of my BQ E4.5 using the MDT; this gives at the end the following error:
      sudo ./launcher.sh
      ...
      sending 'userdata' (14952 KB)...
      OKAY [ 0.512s]
      writing 'userdata'...
      OKAY [ 0.865s]
      finished. total time: 1.575s
      rebooting into bootloader...
      OKAY [ 0.002s]
      finished. total time: 0.053s

      wget: unrecognized option '--show-progress'
      Usage: wget [OPTION]... [URL]...

Try `wget --help' for more options.

Move to your device to finish the setup.

      Exiting script. Bye Bye

Is this a known issue? Should I look into the scripts to remove this unkown option?

        @guru update: I removed this option '--show-progress' from all scripts for my device and after this the flashing goes fine;

How do I move for the apps from 'Ubuntu Store' to 'OpenStore'?

        Thanks

Good to know that you found a working solution for your problem. 🙂 My guess is that your wget command is probably too old. I think it has to be version 1.16 or later to support the --show-progress option.

I'm not sure what you mean by move for the apps, but you will have to install the openstore app and then use that app to install other apps, https://open.uappexplorer.com/docs.

After flashing, I installed the app uNav and it said I should "switch" to OpenStore to get future updates... how do I do this? While flashing with the launcher.sh there was one option, IIRC, to install 1) Ubuntu Touch o 2) Open Store, is this the way?

That's good. 🙂 Did you use the manual steps in the documentation link, or did you manage to do it with the MD Tool?

I did it manually with the steps from the documentation. I did not wanted more problems with the outdated Ubuntu on my wife's laptop. All my other laptops and netbooks run FreeBSD.

I'm happy now having one of my BQ E4.5 flashed to UBports and know that this was more easy then expected. This means that there is some kind of future for my devices and having an Open Source mobile.

                  Thank you all for this!
