What is a good wireless Keyboard and Mouse for Ubuntu Touch?
-
I am in the market for a good keyboard and mouse to use with Oneplus one phone running Ubuntu Touch. Do you guys have any recommendations? I will also be using the keyboard and mouse with other Debian Linux distros such as Linux Mint et cetera.

Maybe you should specify if wireless or not.

Yes, I think wireless. My phone only has one physical place to connect stuff I believe. Every time I use something wireless, things don't always seem to work right. That is why I want to know suggestions from other people.

Most bluetooth keyboards and mouse should work. But here's a few tips based on my experience.
- As much as possible avoid BLE (Bluetooth low energy?) because although it works, reconnecting is wonky and sometimes crashes the bluetooth driver. It looks reconnected but cursor won't work. Not sure if it's better with newer BT versions. My mouse has multiple connections, wireless dongle, BT 3.0 and BLE.
- Mouse with extra buttons can also be problematic on UT because UT seem to detect them as keyboard as well and when you disconnect, OSK won't be displayed even though there's no external keyboard connected. This won't be a big issue with OTA 12 though because there's now a toggle to display OSK even with an external display connected.
- Bluetooth 5 seems to be slower to reconnect. Not sure why.

@kugiigi Can you retest all of BLE on devel where we have Bluez 5.53 now?
-
@flohack Strangely I don't have a device with devel anymore But I'll see if I can find one to test. Would be cool if BLE starts to work properly

@flohack I tried my Logitech keyboard and mouse on my Nexus 5. It wasn't perfect as they had trouble reconnecting for a bit but they seem to work properly now. Reconnecting works which worked before as well but for example a mouse, it won't actually move the mouse.
