        Hi,
what about the ability to turn off (e.g. like in fly mode) only one SIM at a time?

Personally, I've never put two SIM cards in my BQ E5 HD. So I don't know what's wrong. But here you will find information on some current thoughts.

            Hi!

            Which device?
On FP2 it does not work properly; especially not with flight mode.

But why do you post this in the Design section? Could someone please move it to Support?

                [Device: bq Aquaris E5 HD]

I apologize for posting in the wrong section.
But it's not really a support question.
I know for example "/usr/share/ofono/scripts/offline-modem /ril_0" from this:
                https://forums.ubports.com/topic/533/disable-sim/2

Searching I found a question similar to mine (I suppose):
                https://forums.ubports.com/topic/984/request-suggestion-for-dual-sim-phones/3

                So practically... see attached photo...

                  Hi!

OK, now I think I know what you mean...

As a workaround you could write little scripts to toggle the SIM cards on/off, using program icons . I did something similar with anbox, see https://forums.ubports.com/topic/3943/refresh-icon-view-in-app-drawer-in-real-time/12.
                  If /usr/share/ofono/scripts/offline-modem /ril_0 / /usr/share/ofono/scripts/online-modem /ril_0 works, it should be no problem.

I'll give it a try; could be a workround for the faulty flight mode as well...

EDIT: OK, it works partially - I am able to turn the cards off. To turn them on again, the PIN is needed, but it is an improvement - at least I don't have to restart the phone to reenable the cards...

                    Good idea, thanks!
                    I'll try!

There is no problem if PIN security is set to "off", but I figure out...

There is no problem if you use one SIM for "data" (e.g. SIM 1, that it is "/usr/ofono...ril_0") and you toggle the other one (SIM 2, "usr/...ril_1") off/on.

But if you switch off the SIM on which "cellular data" is "on", the phone automatically switches "cellular data" to the other SIM and this remains even also restoring "on" the previous SIM: you have to manually reset it in the "settings".

                      Be careful!
This happens even if "cellular data" is turned off before taking action. "Cellular data" will be active on the other sim anyway!
