          @kwah Thanks. 🙂

          How can you trust that an app really won't send some company your location data, when you tell it not to? The only way you can trust a program not to do something it isn't supposed to do is if it is free software. ~ RMS

            I'd wish this issue was resolved soon. 🤔 🔦

              @Opolork Me too ! Plus the side button for camera ain't working either - this is also a known issue, as someone noticed on git hub, and also without a solution so far... As both of these work fine on android 7, I guess it's a matter of drivers ? Maybe there's a way of extracting these from the provided android rom and add them to the kernel ? Or straight from fairphone support ?

                Hi Emphrath. I wonder do the Fairphone guys help out the UBports guys with things like drivers, etc?

                      Hi. To answer your questions, a new port for the Fairphone 2 is currently worked on. It is based on Android 7.1 (the current port is based on 5.1) and will allow to have the flashlight working. Unfortunately, the Fairphone developers aren't helping the UBPorts community, and there is no release date planed at the moment.

                            I tried again today if the torch is working yet on my FP2. No change. I launched uTorch and it gave a message about there being no permissions to access the hardware. :confounded_face:
