will UBports work on any nexus 5

Thinking of getting a nexus 5 for UBports, the ones I'm looking at have marshmallow and nougat on them, can I put UBports over those systems. if not where can I get hammerhead to put on the one I choose. Thanks

@bluestone Ubuntu Touch works on both models of Nexus 5 irregardless what version of android it came with. The important thing is to make sure it's not locked to a specific cellphone carrier.

Thanks, now I can finally get UBports on my ph, been wanting to it for a long time, but never got round to getting a compatible ph Thanks again, look forward to getting into it next week.

@bluestone Maybe buy a PinePhone instead. I've got my new N5 from Amazon with aprox. 150€ in February. A new PinePhone is in the same range. There are still bugs with it, as I understand, but should be solvable in the near future.

You can, the only thing to do is updating the N5 to the last google androïd update before going throug the ubport install process, and follow it step by step.

@Keneda Yeah, I've seen cheaper, but I didn't want to take the chance since I was about to install UT on it, as i did. Last thing I needed was a hardware issue...
