Ubuntu Touch Q&A 88 This Saturday 7th November At 19:00 UTC
-
@nekojet Yes, you have already received the updates from OTA-14 and probably some newer updates.
-
For me, one of the most interesting and exciting elements is the way the UBports project is carried out, with judicious and logical choices for development priorities and sequencing over time.
Can you describe a little bit the internal alchemy that makes it possible to achieve this result, if not the fruit of a marvelous hazard ?
-
@libremax Thanks! The reason I ask is that during a previous Q&A, I think Florian mentioned that OnePlus One users might have to reinstall UT from scratch to get the latest functionality, and (at the time) he wasn't sure if everything would come through the normal update process. Maybe I misunderstood.
Thanks. -
My mistake! I went back and watched the beginning of Q&A 86, and I don't think it has to do with OTA-14 at all (but I could be wrong).
Dalton and Florian were talking about moving core devices (OnePlus One, Nexus 5, Fairphone 2) to Halium 7.1 in the (near?) future. So I'd like to change my question to:
How is the move to Halium 7.1 for core devices coming along?
Thanks!

What are the thoughts about GSI? Do you think that could become the official way of supporting newer Android devices?
Also, in a previous Q&A Dalton mentioned some thoughts about modernizing Ubports push infrastructure or so. Is there anything ongoing regarding that? What about Webpush support in Morph?
-
Do we know how stable UT is for the Pro1X?
-
A question about Pinephone, will Ut use ext4 files like other Linux OS ?
And will the xfat files be able to be used in all Ut mobiles?
Regards ....
-
- Will the Pro1 X use mainline Linux kernel?
- Could you please talk about xnux.eu?
-
@ubuntoutou, what would you like to know about xnux.eu?
-
@UniSuperBox I would just like to know your opinion on this optimisation work because it looks very impressive.
