I'm a complete noob trying to understand how to root, flash, ect... I would like a mentor please. A couple years back, I brick three Kyocera Duraforce phone in two weeks just trying to root those phones. Now I think my phone is amazing and I don't want to brick it. I've installed Ubuntu, Kali, Parrot, Subgraph, Qubes, ect on laptops and all, but i'm lost with phone.
If someone has the time to guide me, it'll be really appreciated. Yes, I've tried a lot of videos off youtube.

Try here https://forums.ubports.com/topic/2068/halium-first-steps for info to get you started. If your device is suitable (and I have no idea) you could the come back then ask for further help.
