Failure to load

Hi, I've been bashing my head trying to load UT onto a op3. I Have followed the instructions, and yet when it gets to pushing the files to the device I getting a 'connection lost to device USB cable problem' type message. The developer tools are showing this:
DevTools failed to load SourceMap: Could not parse content for file:///C:/Users/irish/AppData/Local/Temp/1raG3Aut6N5DTMPVp2eiGFFUdbP/resources/app.asar/src/html/bootstrap.min.css.map: Unexpected end of JSON input
This is happening with all installers - from 7.54 - 8.8
Thoughts?
Thanks, R -
@rdrowe This is going to sound dumb, but... did you try a different cable?
-
No, not a dumb question. But, yes, I have - 3 of them!
-
@rdrowe have you tried to change from computer USB, try USB 2 if you have rather than USB 3 ?
-
@saveurlinux Yep, tried all three USB ports and cables...
-
@rdrowe Have you tried this https://forums.ubports.com/topic/5537/twrp-still-needed it normally solves it.
-
@lakotaubp yes, I have, thanks..
-
@rdrowe So clearing cache data and system did not help. Odd, and 0.8.6 worked for me the other day. Wipe option and bootstraping too? What channel are you trying to install?
-
@lakotaubp I agree, it is very odd. I successfully installed UT to op3t in the past, so I really am not sure why on this install, the usb connection seems to be dropped at EXACTLY the same point in each installation cycle I have attempted. BTW I am trying to install from the stable channel - the default in the Installer.
UPDATE -have reinstalled Oxygen (the standard OnePlus O/S) because appaarantly there may be a firmware issue that needs addressed...... I'll ket you know -
@rdrowe Good luck. I only tried Dev.
-
@lakotaubp @Flohack I decided to have another go
Unfortunately keep getting the following error:'DevTools failed to load SourceMap: Could not parse content for file:///C:/Users/irish/AppData/Local/Temp/1pKo5oFvBGGJjuKuJj6J9PCPTKO/resources/app.asar/src/html/bootstrap.min.css.map: Unexpected end of JSON input'
Any ideas anyone?
-
@rdrowe Well the installer is a packaged Javascript app, so if there are such errors something is wrong with the execution of Javascript on your host, I cant say more.
-
@flohack Many thanks. I'll keep looking ...
