Matrix Spaces

Hello all,
As many of you have probably heard, the new Matrix Spaces are available in the Element Beta project, these are a replacement to the older communitys, they have a different design, and many new features already here, and soon to be added, see the blog post from matrix here.
These spaces do not work on fluffychat, it's not in either the Ubuntu Touch version, or latest versions on Android and Desktop, nore do they work on NeoChat, another matrix chat app which is wrote in qt, these two are the most likely matrix apps to be added/updated to the OpenStore, so we are unlikely to see any advantages from these new updates on the Phone itself.
However these tools will be very helpful for discovery, and very helpful for administration, at least when you're on a laptop, desktop, or when using element web in convergence mode.
So I have created a Matrix Space for UBports, however it is still lacking in comparison to the UBports community, which means I'm here asking for a bit of help, I want the space to grow, I also need some trusted admins to add rooms, moderate, and further improve the experience of the UBports community on Matrix.
Currently the only way to add aliases to Matrix Spaces, is through playing around with the API's directly, this isn't something you can add via the GUI, so at the moment when its shared you get the spaces id, which is !FqwfHWZoXhzElBTKtv:halogen.city, not so easy to memorize, This will be changed to an alias as soon as possible, to make it easier to share and remember.If you would like to join the space please feel free to join with this Link, or in your favourite matrix chat app, join #UBportsSpace:matrix.org

@phoenixlandpirat Also for those artistic minded, I kinda like the idea of the UBports spaces having a logo where Yumi is actually in space, with stars shining around her lil robot head, I might give it a small go if I can find the 3D yumi I made in Blender a while back but I think 2D is better than 3D when it comes down to icons.

I have been told that if you leave beta, you can change the alias the same way you do a room as it shows as a room list, so now you can join the matrix space, by joining it the same way you'd join a room #UBportsSpace:matrix.org

@lakotaubp Theyre great, you can also put spaces inside other spaces, so the UBports space could have a space in that just has app chats, and another space that has the general chats, or core chats, etc, depends on how we want it all to be managed, but it is also still in beta, so you can hear a few of the floor boards squeaking, for example, not all chats that are in a space, are viewable to everyone.
