Is Fluffy chat encrypted E2E ?
-
Hello, I try to understand the E2E encryption in fluffy chat.
I would like to use it but following this discussion, it is said :
We won't implement e2ee in this app. You can use Pantalaimon for this.
However, seeing this link it is mentionned that E2EE is implemented.
Please, do you know what is the status of E2EE ? There is no other Matrix client in Ubuntu Touch, so I would really hope that E2EE is supported.
Thank you for your feedback.

@prog-amateur Pantalaimon is a separate app which you can open which then allows E2EE encryption in FluffyChat.
Until FluffyChat is upgraded again (it's currently not in development) we probably won't see too many updates. I use a webapp for Element which works find sideways personally, but a lot of folks swear by Fluffy+Pantalaimon.

This is actually not the case, FluffyChat is being developed constantly, you can check its Gitlab here
However the issue is that it uses Flutter, and Ubuntu Touch doesn't currently support flutter, so even though FluffyChat is still being developed, we see none of the updates, hopefully when Flutter works on Ubuntu Touch, we might get to see those updates on our favorite mobile operating system.

@phoenixlandpirat I use UT as a daily driver, so as far as I am concerned, it's not actively developed for me.

Thank you both and sorry for my late reply. Just a question : I have searched for Pantalaimon and did not find it in the Open Store :
- where shall I be able to find and install it ?
- does both apps "combined" drain battery ?
Thank you again !

@prog-amateur If I remember Pantalaimon isn't in the store; it is a click package. Let me find the link.
