Hi, I hope that this is the right place to ask this.

I have recently installed Ubuntu touch on a Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro, and I have noticed that from time to time, I get a notification showing that I only have 5% of storage left, this message it usually comes and goes, after looking at the about screen, it shows that Ubuntu touch is using 82gb for the OS only, sometimes it shows that is using only about 8GB, which is what I expect the OS to use, I tried looking for possible solutions on Google but I have not found one, even though I am familiar with regular Ubuntu, I am not so familiar with UTouch so some guidance would be appreciated.

      Thanks in advance!
      Regards,

@migue5862 From what you say this correts itself without you doing anything. If that is correct it may be just a mis reporting and a note 8 pro issue. Can you let us know. Or it maybe a process filling logs up. Bit more info please. The 8g as a rough guide is right.

@lakotaubp Hi thanks for the reply, so after looking around something that I have noticed is whenever the battery goes down below 10%, is when this message shows up and out of nowhere the OS becomes huge, I am not familiar which logs I should attach, if you can tell me which ones would be helpful I will add them, I also plan on taking screenshots to show the bug better, the only thing that comes to my mind is if a report is made by the OS by monitoring the battery it might cause log to become too large, but really unsure if that is the issue at the moment I have full battery so I will report once it empties

@migue5862 Seems like it is a reporting error of some sort. The issue I have seen needed the logs to be phsically reset fromm the terminal so yours seems different to that. Good idea on keeping an eye on for now. If you feel this is down to the device we can move it. For now let's leave it where it is.
