Stop Distrowatch from naming Ubuntu Touch, UBports
-
The confusion between UBports, the name of the community and the foundation, and Ubuntu Touch, the name of the operating system, has been maintained and widely spread for years by Distrowatch.
Is it not possible that the foundation does something to put Distrowatch back on track or has it already been tried without success? -

Well, as I know, in the beginning "Ubuntu Touch" was not allowed, because it's a registered trademark of Canonical.
So the operating system was named UBports.
It's confusing.. Now it's Ubuntu Touch?
And as far as I remember way back, when Canonical was developing the system, it's also not called Ubuntu Touch, it's was just Ubuntu with the Unity desktop...
The plan was one desktop for all devices. Smartphone, Tablet, Deskop, ...
For me it's very wired, because always changing names ... -
@wlbi UBports has been always the name for the porting project, then for the foundation
OS has been named Ubuntu for phones, Ubuntu for devices, Ubuntu Touch since Canonical time:

In the beginning it was Ubuntu Phone I think but after that it has always been Ubuntu Touch

seems to be an effort on the editors of that site to purposely make this false distinction.
