Hi everyone,
I’m new to the topic, I recently installed an Ubuntu Touch on a OnePlus 2, and several things don’t work. I’ve been reviewing a number of topics on the forum, but I have no idea how to fix it.
I can't open any file on my device even though I have an app attached to it (not even a txt file).
Installed applications cannot be started from a terminal (command not found).
It makes no sound or vibrates at all.Thanks

@retkecske - documentation on using the included Terminal app is here - https://ubports.com/blog/ubports-news-1/post/terminal-chapter-1-3082

https://ubports.com/pt/blog/ubports-blogs-noticias-1/post/terminal-chapter-4-3072and info on running desktop client line apps can be found within docs on using the Libertine container - http://docs.ubports.com/en/latest/userguide/dailyuse/libertine.html
Perhaps reading through this will get you the solution to your problems.

Thanks for the reply. I have already read these tutorials, the problem is that when I open a video, music, whatever, the required application simply exits. The phone does not ring or vibrate during an incoming call. The phone does not play any sound at all and no media files can be opened.

@retkecske
Have you tried reinstalling the OS?
Looks to me like a broken install...I cannot be sure as I don't have this phone to validate the normal behavior.

@retkecske said in terminal does not work:
I can't open any file on my device even though I have an app attached to it (not even a txt file).
Installed applications cannot be started from a terminal (command not found).How did you install those apps ?
Why do you want to run them by terminal ? -
@keneda
I tried a factory reset, it says:
E: could not load bitmap icon_error (error -7).
If I run ADB Sideload, it prints this error:
Failed to mount '/ cache' (Invalid argument)
Updater process ended with ERROR: 7I bought the phone from someone who also tried Ubuntu on it and then put Android back on.

You didn't answer my questions. -
@keneda
Really, don't be mad.
I installed it from the App Store, libertine doesn't work. Since I couldn’t open anything, I thought I’d try to run the applications from a terminal as an administrator to see if there was a problem with permissions, and that’s when I realized I couldn’t run any non-command line applications from a terminal at all. -
