Outer Wilds x Ubuntu Touch
-
For fans of Outer Wilds like me, I have created a "simulated" Outer Wilds solar system on the lockscreen.
If you haven't played the game, don't continue looking at this post and play the game!
It's really useless and not practical but really really cool .
Features:
-
Individual orbit direction and duration
-
The following are present
- Sun
- Sun Station
- Hourglass Twins
- Timber Hearth
- Attlerock
- Brittle Hollow
- Hollow's Lantern
- Giant's Deep
- Dark Bramble
- Interloper
- White hole (not shown in portrait)
- Stranger
-
Fast (~22 seconds) and Normal mode (~22 minutes) loops
-
Quantum moon moves between the 6 possible locations depending on where you look.....of course that's not true though maybe with eye tracking?
-
Crash Lomiri from time to time when locking/unlocking (So far this seems to happen only on my S10)
-
Battery drain. The loop needs great energy to work.

@kugiigi Nice graphics.
Is it a .click? -
@domubpkm No of course not
It's a patch in Lomiri. It is however available as a package and can be installed using the jerk installer (script I created to easily install/uninstall custom patches/hacks in UT) if you're willing to go that way -
@kugiigi Damn that's great ! I would definitely do that if my oneplus wasn't already struggling with daily tasks ^^
-
@emphrath You can try if you are willing and experienced with terminal usage It seems like the crashes is exclusive to my S10. Nexus 5 and bq E5 seems to be fine. Actually, I disabled it by default in the code then you press and hold to enable/disable it.

@kugiigi A pity. My smartphone is quite customized and it should stay as is without the risk of destabilization and reinstalling everything for the nth time .... I would do without this beautiful animated screen.
