      Hi,
My (newer) Nexus 5 has some problems: suddenly I couldn't connect to my laptops anymore via USB. I've tried different cables, different laptops and installed several UT channels, the problem remains. Although, power for the phone battery is transferred the computer won't recognize my device.
At the same time Dekko stopped working properly: A least I cannot send mails + notifications for new incomming mails fails. In addition, my phone got much slower and energy consumption went up.
Similar problems anyone? How should I handle this? Is it the new UT version? I had done my last update on July 1st, but it worked fine initially.

      Best regards

Thank you all for your answers. The issue is solved now.
Regarding the usb connection: After two days I brought a cable which I had stored in my office. And it worked. Not like the 5 or 6 others I'd tried...

Email then stopped working on my laptop as well. After one day it magically worked again. Probably this did not have anything to do with my phone.

After changing between channels my phone was really slow. It's better now, and I am back on stable. Energy consumption is still high; this could simply be heat + age of phone.

In conclusion: everything is kind of ok and Ubuntu Touch is still great. Thank you ALL 🤗

@taiga-woods I am sorry I can't say much to the rest, but as for Dekko. The issue you are likely experiencing is that Google disabled simple logins with just a username & password. But you can still make the emails work if you create an app password as suggested here: https://forums.ubports.com/topic/7874/can-t-create-gmail-account-in-dekko/6

As for the USB cable, that's indeed weird. I know that I need to unlock my phone (enter the pin code) in order for the device to be accessible from my laptop. But since it worked before but doesn't work now for you it may be a regressions for Nexus 5 though I guess it is unlikely. Hopefully someone else with the same device can confirm it works.

As for slowness & energy consumption. That is weird, no idea why. Maybe Dekko trying to access Gmail much too often since it is not working? But probably not. No idea, I am not seeing any changes on my end - with a different device. But I do restart the phone at least once a day when applying devel updates so no services have too much time to heat up on my phone.

Try this, discharge the battery totally, then charge it back up fully a couple of times. The problem depending were you live could be the external heat (i.e a heatwave) and we have also been hit recently with a solar storm that could have a bearing on sensitive components.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 7.... And more...
            I have too many devices...

Or maybe, like you pointed me for my MX4 (thanks again BTW), battery is dead and just make the phone buggy like mine was.
