@gt a quick workaround might be to install the suru dark mode indicator. So you would have another (non-essential) icon in the indicator bar between clock and edge of display.

RE: Nexus 5 battery case: advice?
@dad_and_alive
sounds like you have already made the decision to buy one of these products. So just give it a try (and tell us about it)
For me, sustainability is the main criterium, so I would rather buy an extension that I can use with other devices, too. That means, even if I buy a new phone one day, I want the battery extension/powerbank (or even the phone case) to be compatible by its form, design or connection. But I am also lazy to buy or sell stuff; of course there are also ways to reuse, refurbish outdated products. -
Stuck in headphone mode
Hi,
Suddenly my phone (nexus 5) is stuck in headphone-mode, that means i can only hear sound (and get heard) when my headphones are plugged in. Any idea whether or not this is software related?
Thanks

RE: Most wanted features for Morph?
Hi all,
I think it is a gteat feature, that we can now close tabs by swiping to left or right. But since then it happened to me quite often that I accidentaly closed tabs I didn't wanted to close. I wish there was a function like alt+ctrl+t (open recently closed tab). -
RE: Battery drain - Nexus 5
@applee Thanks for the reply. I will try flight mode the next days. What I am sure about so far is, that energy consumption is much higher after my reboot. I think I will just reboot again with stable channel instead rc.
However, the fact that you lost so much energy even during flight mode seems rather concerning to me. At least for me, that would not be acceptable. For comparison: I already set my old Bq Aquaris 4.5 in flight mode to check the battery (just out of curiosity). With that old phone I still have 55% battery left after more than 2 weeks! And that Bq had been in use for more than 5 years.
I really start thinking about going back to my old phone... -
RE: Battery drain - Nexus 5
@stanwood and @ everyone,
Today I reinstalled my UT on N5, to see if it also improves battery usage. It was a total failure! Drainage is now higher than ever before. It dropped like 40% within less than one hour (mostly I used twitter during that time). The line in the energy statistics drops almost vertically. What should I do now? Back to the previous OTA?
Thanks in advance for any tipps and tricks. -
RE: getting an external monitor to work
@totalrando For Nexus 5 I need a so-called slimport-adapter. I think it's the same for Nexus 4.

RE: Battery drain - Nexus 5
@c0n57an71n well, for me it seems like my N5 needs a lot of battery, too. But I tested it only a few weeks with OTA14 before the update, and I am not sure if it really changed the power consumption, or if it is the way I used my phone the last weeks. Outside temperatures might also play a role.
However, I would be very thankful if developers could increase the efficiency in the future.Best regards

RE: Nexus 5 battery case: advice?
@dad_and_alive
I do not really have an answer for you, but maybe we can think together. For some weeks now I use a Nexus5, too, and after looking at the battery extensions you have posted my first thought was: I need this. But after some minutes I had doubts. First, what are the real advantages of a continuously fixed battery extension compared to a normal powerbank? In my opinion there are rather disadvantages, e.g. phone is heavier all the time, not just when connected to my powerbank. Also modern smartphone batteries should better not be connected to a power supply the whole time, as this would reduce the overall battery-life. Or wouldn't it? I'm not an expert, just thinking...
