Volla Phone 22 vs Pro1 X
-
Would to ask which of these two phones is considered better in terms of specifications and also whether or not there is an opinion on how well Ubuntu touch will run on these phones as well as other Linux based mobile operating systems?
-
first you would need to consider location - if you are in americas the volla phones only have certain cell bands (for me that makes att unusable, and tmobile 2g only)
right now i think pro1x is currently a less complete port, certain things need work, keyboard slide detection, and right now you need to install manually without installer.
pro1x
+keyboard
+no notch
+/- side fingerprint (user prefrence if good or not, i tend to hit it accidently, is placed more for lefft handed use)
-still in progress, manual installvolla 22
+preinstalled
+volla seems very intent on making the ut experience a great one, includes custom info in the user manual
+seems like a solid port from my testing
-notch -
Unless physical keyboard is big to you, go for Volla. Volla actually supports UT and the port will most likely be good eventually. Fxtec on the other hand is kind of a mess right now and I honestly don't trust them as a company in terms of delivering good results.

@kugiigi Volla has good support but currently are not making their UT images public yet for the VP22, i hope that changes soon because some seem to already hae bricked theirs and had to pay a repair fee up to 50€
-
@idcrafter Not sure what's the current state of Volla 22 Is it even sold already with UT preinstalled?
On Fxtec's side, there's another delay and the shipment is possibly pushed back to December. -
@kugiigi i bought mine with UT installed from the factory, it is only installed on the a partitions and the b partitions aren't partitioned but it is a quite stable Halium 11 port
