How about picking up this multiboot approach from 2014 for UT for UBPorts? Multiboot would really be very handy as there are still some people around in need for a specific Android app from time to time (yes I know that there is a workaround for many things but it’s not about any silly messenger - I for example need one for accessing my solar charge controller and one for my bank account) and carrying two devices for that purposes is not very convenient ...
I’m happy to volunteer as an early alpha tester

@elastic i'm not sure about rest of the devices but on my One Plus One I've got MultiROM installed and i can switch between Ubports and LinageOS without any problems.

@tricky I would prefer an approach without the need to patch the kernel ... tested EFIDroid in different configurations without success on UBPorts (Lineage as primary OS) - works flawless with other ROMs as secondary though ...

hey all, would like to know if anyone start to work in "official" slides about ubuntu touch. would love to talk about the project to my local developer community but don't have all the clue and time to make my own. Some OS architecture schemas, general overviews would be nice and useful as well in documentation.

Have you a plan to release this OS on more devices like Xiaomi Redmi Note4, Sony Xperia or Huawei?

The plan announced for the next weeks/months is to release the OTA 4 with xenial (16.04) for all the supported devices with anbox if possible.
Ports for others devices depend only from community efforts (not from the core team) but may be integrated in community channels (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oVtsJnmFcyE at 30' 22")
