@hannescam It may be that the port has only recently reached the state where it gets OTA updates.

        Is currently using an Op5t
Also owns an Op1, a BQ E4.5 and an Xperia X, as well as a BQ tablet and a Pinetab2. Please, someone... make it stop.

@hannescam According to here it is fully supported https://devices.ubuntu-touch.io/device/surya so I can only think it was missed of the list due to it being a veriant of another one on the list. Maybe someone else can confirm as I don't have one either.

Is the bootloader already unlocked? If not, count on another week to do that (there is a waiting time).

Yeah, that's very different. Xiaomi devices are a bit of a pain to unlock: they require a specific tool that only runs on Windows, there is a waiting time, and you need to register with your phone number, as far as I know.

That is good information for those interested in getting a Xiaomi device. Thanks! :thumbs_up_light_skin_tone:

@moem it would be nice if there would be a disclaimer on the ubports site for the xiaomi poco x3 nfc

@hannescam That is a general Xiaomi thing, and I don't think it's UBports' job to warn for that.

I don't know for sure... after all I've never even held a Xiaomi in my hands. But I don't see a reason why not. I think people generally do that.
