Hide notifications message on locked screen
-
Hi,
Can I hide notification messages on a locked screen?
It's worrisome for many services allow password reset or passwordless login with random SMS codes.
-
@ygrex Yes, in settings go to "Security and Privacy", then "Locking and unlocking" and unselect "Notifications and quick settings".
-
@Caedem strange thing, the tick is not set neither for "launcher" nor for "notifications and quick settings", nevertheless SMS messages are shown on a pop-up notifications while the screen is locked

@ygrex
Phone, UT version, Channel ?Did you try to toggle on the settings, reboot, then toggle off and reboot again ?

@ygrex I guess you're talking about the notification bubble which sadly isn't configurable to be disabled on the lockscreen. You can disable bubbles per app but unfortunately again, messaging app or sms isn't in the settings for some reason. I think this is a valid concern and worth logging in Gitlab.

indeed seems like this one is relevant https://github.com/ubports/ubuntu-touch/issues/2039

filled in one more to be sure

Actually while far from ideal, I think you don't get the notification bubble if you turn on Silent Mode.
But yeah, that should be a setting.
