      Hi folks,

I seem to remember that in the past there was an app called "Bluetooth File Transfer", and I could select "share via Bluetooth" in other apps if I had that installed.

Now I'm on 20.04 (on a Volla 22), and there's no more "Bluetooth" app in OpenStore, and no more "share via Bluetooth" in other apps.
All while I'm perfectly able to BT-pair with other devices via system settings. But no more BT sending nor receiving files.

      Have I missed something?

      Grateful for any hints.

      cheers,
      rbarclay

@rbarclay That app has to be ported to Focal. You can also try installing the xenial version from the site but I doubt it'll work though

I also noticed that this functionality is missing. I may try to write a small app that does this on focal as I have already experimented with bluetooth for my lighthouse control app.
But in the end this should probably be integrated into the core system as it is a feature that you would expect any (non-Apple) Smartphone to be capable of.

@lkroll That's definitely ideal. I'm sure the xenial app would be a great start. It would be nice but obviously it's a very old tech and kind of slow. It's probably better to look for other better solutions if the effort is too much.
