@domubpkm Not sure on Volla maybe ask here https://forums.ubports.com/topic/8430/20-04-volla-phone/22 but it works from what I have been told on FP4 already. As for 20.04 Stable you might not have to long a wait.

    Hi @Charly

As you read in the article, no detail on how an attacker can exploit this CVE has been shared.
So it's hard to tell whether Ubuntu Touch is vulnerable or not.
If it requires physical access to the device we're already more vulnerable due to the bootloader.

Also if I understand correctly, the best project to ask questions about the kernel for halium devices is the halium project.
Once the kernel is fixed there the porter can merge it to the port.
Or, the porter can implement the fix, but (again IIUC) it's a very device specific issue.

I would love to come up with a way to track CVE and analyze them for each device but I didn't find a good way to do it efficiently.

@p4u said in GPS not working:

    @Moem
ok, so that means no navigation at all?

No, it does not mean that... it means taking extra time for the first fix, and then it will work fine as long as you do use it regularly.
We don't have two different navigation apps just to keep app developers busy, we have them because they are quite usable. Try them both, and see which one you like best.

@Keneda I'm currently using a OnePlus Nord N10, so it doesn't have the notch and has a hole punch style camera on the left instead that sits pretty nice on the UI.

@oistein Yeah, just disable auto correct. No one really uses it since it's not good 😅 No one has worked on it too so yeah, best to avoid it.

As for Sapot, it has differet bottom gestures in the settings. Swipe up from middle area is for switching tabs. Swipe up from left and right area is for the direct/quick actions. Horizontal swipe can be used for back/forward in the webview. You can see it in action a bit later than halfway of this video

I'm still not sure if I understand what you're saying with the gestures though 😅 I understand that it can take a while to not accidentally swipe from the left/right edge. Before UT, we're so used to swiping horizontallly regardless of where it started. So you'll have to be trained to swipe from the inside area. To be fair, this is now also the case with Android's gestures due to the back gesture. But I think horizontal swipe inside apps are still fine. Also technically on Android, all edges are now reserved to the system if you use the gesture navigation so UT has 1 less 😄

But in any case, thanks for the feedback for trying UT. We won't force you to use and like it. Hopefully you'll have a good time trying out the other options 😄

Thanks for your help. Setting phone in fastboot mode was the missing link, after enabling it instalation went fine. I had to enable repartitioning of internal storage otherwise I ended up in boot loop.

Also, if you are using windows, the phone's driver must be installed once when the phone is on, and again when the phone is in fastboot mode.
