Could you please do a reboot and see if the problem persists? I currently can't reproduce it anymore on my two devices.

But might have to do with the app either being in foreground or being brought to foreground.

@danfro The problem persists even after a restart.

It gets even crazier. If I quickly scroll through a long note, the app also crashes.

@ma very strange. I am scrolling through a full log of Teleports (that IS long 😉 ), but all working fine. I am so sorry this is happening. But I have no idea why that happens. I assume this wasn't the case with the last version, right?

No, I would have definitely noticed.

@ma As a shot in the dark, I created a branch without the exit button. If you have time, could you please test the build from the latest pipeline and see if this does solve the problem?

Maybe, just to make sure we hit the right thing, reinstall the app with the current OpenStore version and then install this test build.

I'm sorry, but I don't know how to install it.

                  OP5T = build-arm64?

@ma Yes, correct. Download that artifacts zip, unzip and install e.g. via file manager. Or as described here.

@danfro The installation worked. The error does not occur in this version.

After I installed the version from the Open Store again, the error no longer occurred.

@ma Thanks a lot for testing. When I build the test version, that would be a new install here, so why the error could not be reproduced then anymore.
So looks like this is due to a faulty installation. 🤔 Might be due to some cache, might be something else stuck. Hard to track down.
I guess there is nothing we can do about it, except maybe soon release another version. 😏

@danfro this worked for me, too. thank you for this workaround!

@danfro Hello. Just seen : Tedit crashes when I long press on a term in a file to select and copy it. Volla

Edit : It doesn't do that anymore and I don't know why 🙂

@domubpkm Oh, how did you "fix" it? Because I had that too. Quite annoying. But I had no time yet to look into it.

@danfro I don't know anything precisely!! I cleared Tedit's cache. Then I turned the smartphone off and on again. Turning it off and on or rebooting is often a quick fix..

@danfro Hello. Now with OTA-7 on the volla 22 tedit crashes all the time with a long press on a word (to copy a term in my case). Copying a term is normally done with the virtual keyboard.

@domubpkm same on opo5, focal, rc. also swiping leads to a crash as well as switching between applications.

@messayisto Same on Redmi Note 9S, but as I don't think I did try this before, I have doubts that it could be related to OTA-7... (?)

I'm just saying that now (OTA-7), the crash is systematic, whereas before OTA-7, this was not the case, always sometimes. 🙂

@domubpkm I just tested tedit, had the issue with the crash. Then I tried something and installed a new build, now everything is gone again. Even if there are no changes on code side.

I am quite sure its nothing related to OTA7. But I am afraid I have no idea what exactly is the reason for the crashes. They are gone here now. Please try clearing the apps cache and maybe another reboot. Although I am aware that this is no good solution.
