Camera App suddenly not working "Capture failed"
-
Hi Everyone,
I'm new here. Thanks for making Linux possible on my phone.
I have a Fairphone 4 and am running Ubuntu Touch 20.04 (OTA-7).
The Camera was working fine, but then a 2 days ago, I started getting the error message "Capture failed: Restarting your device might fix the problem" when I made pictures. Video still works. Oddly, I can take pictures with Telegram, which seems to use the Camera App too. I tried rebooting several times to no avail. I also erased my config file and rebooted.
Please help me squash this bug.

@Robipo I am having the same problem with my device. it happens when shifting from camera to video mode, it gives the same message and device's vibration gets affected. I did several reboot to my device to return both camera mode and vibration to normal.
As I remember, I did not face camera issue when running OTA-6. After the update I faced this issue.

@aimar Thanks for your reference, this issue should be solved with the new upcoming OS version 24.04.
-
@Salah "should" as in, you hope it will be, or "should" as in, you have tested it on 24.04 and confirmed that it works?
-
@arubislander For @Salah EVERY bug get's fixed with the release of 24.04
-
@kristatos If that is the case, I am afraid they will be sorely disappointed...
-
@arubislander Should as a hope I presume.
