@holly_x No, the 2Gb/32Gb variant of the Lenovo Tab TB-X306F does not work.
It lacks the upgrade to Android 11 and I have tried a few times. It will boot loop. The installer won't work either so you have to try manually. -

It's a really snappy and beautiful OS. Installed easily with the installer.
Browsers are a problem, as I've delineated a bit on another post in Support.
It would not update from r128 - I would click install and it would reboot to the recovery, but no update just a reboot option.
I had to wipe to factory, then it would update - now finally on r133. Fortunately I'd only installed a few apps and some minor configuration (dark mode, pinned apps, etc - nothing major.
Gonna give it a drive and see if the browsers, etc are better now.
Big thanks to the team, this is how a tablet OS should work.
EDIT: browser font is still weird - same in Jade Browser which I tried hoping it would work better but is probably based on the same source.

After a really awesome Pixel 3A XL install, I wanted to get a native Linux device on a Tablet. After trying to install everything on a $50 Lenovo Tab M10 HD (2nd Gen) , but 2GB device, I finally figured out that I needed to a $90 4GB device. Then everything ran smoothly.
My primary use is a portable Linux-based spot for portable writing kit in LaTex and rendering PDF to a eReader, and after figuring out the Lomiri construct of chrooted environments, I was off to the races.
Rock solid:
- Install (once I had the right device)
- Wifi Connectivity
- Terminal and Lomiri envs and their fakeroot apt installs
- Support for USB devices (Hubs, USB Sticks, USB Mouse Keyboards)
- Support for SD Card (64GB is currently working after formatting on the system)
- PDF Viewing
- Music Player
- Audio Jack Output
- Video Player
- Sleep/Wake
- Battery usage is reasonable for a "refurbed" device
Would like to have:
- Bluetooth support works on start-up, but goes borked when the device falls asleep. A reboot solves this problem, but it's not a blocker since I'm switching to 2.4Gz wireless keyboard dongle.
Overall, I based a very portable open source writing kit. Really incredible work as good as when I install YellowDog Linux onto my Powerbook G3. A second donation was in order, but I think I got what I need for my writing kit. Would be nice to have the bluetooth working solidly -- the Pixel 3a XL Bluetooth is rock solid.

Fresh install today after a long hunt for the right model.
Worked very well - getting the device unlocked took a slightly different approach than I am used to but worked none the less.
Install went well.
Stuck on boot screen for a short while - restarted and realised I should have been more patient on a first boot (not for the first time! :baby_angel:
Have to say - so far - downloaded a few apps = works like a charm
Currently on last devel build from 9th Jan 2025 - and very impressed so congratulations @rubencarneiro once again.
Been after a working tablet for UT since selling on my (very) old Nexus 7 2nd Gen and this is a delight in comparison.

Lenovo TAB M10 HD TB-x306F 3G/32G android 11 - fully functional ?
So I installed UT with ubports-installer 0.10.0 , a few days ago on this tablet, and I notice some problems that I describe here :
- As explained by @Spymaker the reboot is excessively slow,
- more than 5 MINUTES !

It's a shame that the battery charge indicator isn't visible when the charger cable is plugged in and the device is switched off, but as soon as the device is switched on, UT indicates that it's charged ;

Regrettable: in Waydroid mode, the screen is not rotated in its entirety across the width of the device, there is only one visible part, which corresponds to the part of the UT ( and Waydroid ) applications pane across the width of the tablet screen, so about 1/3 is visible.
So, if I go back to what bothers me so much about a tablet that I'm giving to my dear Mum, so that she can read newspapers, books or any other information, it's that she won't have access to reading across the width of the screen with Waydroid ! So books etc. will have to be downloaded and, for example, stored on a micro SD card, then imported to be read on UT where, fortunately, the display is maximum, both in width and height.
On my OP5T, I can use the entire screen in both height and width, so it's a shame that it doesn't work on a tablet that's supposed to make reading easier and is recommended for people with poor vision !
It should also be noted that the camera has no sound when viewing a video recording made with the tablet ( or, sometimes, very weak sound ), although I have noted that this is a known problem, but one that has been around for far too long! ( when will this bug be solved or a new camera application ? )
So, is UT on the Lenovo TAB M10 HD fully functional ? That depends, of course, on how everyone feels about it.

and I'd like to add that Vibrations doesn't work with UT.and that when I talk about Waydroid, it's when I'm on Lineage that you can't see the whole screen widthways. so I've made it clearer, I hope...

@Danes Use the Lenovo Software tool. It is by far the easiest way. All you need is the serial number of the device and to follow a few instructions and the tool does the rest.

Trying to install UT on this device, but having trouble getting A11 on it beforehand.
I don't get any A11 update on the stock ROM, and can't, for the life of me, get spflash to detect the device (on a Linux machine). -
@hlbkv Check your device is the 4Gb/64Gb version. 2Gb version is stuck at Android 10.

@MrT10001 It is the 4/64 version, I got it because of that.
I was able to update it with the Lenovo Rescue and Smart Assistant, but I had to both fetch a Windows machine and create a pointless Lenovo account, but it worked. I guess SPFlash tools should work as well and is perhaps the simplest way, but I wasn't able to get it to properly detect the tablet.
