        Hi all,

        I was able to install Ubuntu 16.04 on my Lenovo M10 FHD Plus.

        I followed this guide:
        https://gitlab.com/ubports/porting/community-ports/android9/lenovo-tab-m10-fhd-plus/lenovo-x606

        Thank you to the community!

        Can I upgrade the Ubuntu version somehow?
        What are my options to get a more recent version?

        Thank you,
        Cheers!

          @kugiigi Ok, bummer.

          I am a long time Debian user, and absolutely ignorant about Android.
          Can I use it like I would do with a normal Debian-based linux
          (e.g. apt upgrade, apt install vim or whatever), or should I stick with the GUI App store?

            @carloratm Unfortunately, that model isn't supported anymore. The port isn't active anymore so it's stuck in 16.04 xenial.

                @carloratm Not recommended at all. Ubuntu Touch is not like a desktop distro. Each component of the system has been carefully handled by the core team.
                Playing with "apt" may lead to strong instabilities or can even soft brick your device.

                If you need additional Linux software, you can take a look at Libertine, which is a kinda container to manage and install such apps.
                There's a GUI in the system settings (Libertine, with a "hat" icon).
                Same way with WayDroid for Android applications for which you can install "WayDroid Helper" from the OpenStore.

                Note that WayDroid does not work on all devices. (See guide on message #114 here: https://forums.ubports.com/topic/5907/open-ubuntu-touch-to-all-android-applications/115)

                However I can't help you further as I don't use Libertine...

                  @stanwood Gotcha, thank you.

                  Kudos to the core team and the forum admins.

                  Cheers!
