        I have a Nexus 4 with Touch installed but it's a horrible battery hog. With a strong desire to avoid Apple and Google my search for a different phone that has a great battery life and works super good with Touch, any advice from anyone who owns something other than a Nexus 4 who can speak on battery life and what they have?

        Also;

        I'm considering this in USA on TMobile, anyone have Pro or Con,
        Please confirm this will run Touch as good or better than Nexus 4.

          @mawil1013 Hi, How long are you currently getting from the nexus ?. This will help others when responding to your question. I am getting 15- 18 hrs out of a Nexus 5 with a new battery depending on usage. It was 10 -12 at a push before.
          In general I think UBports Ubuntu Touch is a bit battery hungry when compared to other systems ( but think of all the other benefits you get 🙂 ), an issue that may well be addressed when 16.04 arrives.

            @lakota I'll do that, charge it up and see how long it takes to get to, say, 10%, then post back.

              I'm charging the battery this morning, then let it run this weekend. I use GSMarena to see battery life, 4.34 hours is stated web browsing life, I use a Blackberry Passport with 10.2 hours Web browse and a Blackberry KEYone with 10.51 web browse time. If I just let them sit on a desk they have charges after 3 days. I guess I got spoiled. Oh, and OnePlus One gsmarena battery rating for web browsing is 9.46 hours.

                  @mawil1013 How old is the phone? 12 hrs on match's what I got from the nexus 5 on a regular basis. This might be a silly question but can you change the battery on it I have no knowledge of the 4 at all.
                  As for other devices I think people get better from the newer phones ( I would hope so anyway) Fairphone two, OPone and even miezu pro5 but its if you want to spend the money or with pro 5 find an Ubuntu one.

                    @mawil1013 Alot of these issues are hangovers from picking up from Canonical, using older devices and building unto 16.04. Once that is done things will move forward and develope for the future, with better performance and more devices(I hope). The future for UBports is very bright from what I can see, with just a few niggles and irritating issues at present. Hang in there better things are coming.

                      My new FP2 lasts cca 24hrs with wifi on and close to no usage. When I turn wifi off, the phone lasts about 9 days (again close to no usage). There is an issue for battery drain on FP2, in comments they suspect the wii too.

                        On my previous phone, bq E5 HD Ubuntu Edition with original UT form Canonical, the battery life was cca 5 days with wifi on and little usage. I haven't tried the UT from UBports yet on this phone.

                          Nexus 4 according to most reviews had a short battery life, I bought a OnePlus One off ebay yesterday so I think the issue is resolved, going to set the N4 down and set up the OnePlus One as soon as it arrives! Already have the Installer downloaded! Thanks all.
